Monarch Sands Beach Resort on the Dumaguete web site.

I'm happy to say that a new beach resort is being featured on the dumaguetecity.net web site.
According to their web site:
"Monarch Sands Resort is situated on a secluded cove, located North of the sleepy town of Siaton. Native style cottages made of Nipa, Bamboo and local materials face the blue waters of the Bohol sea. Each cottage has a large porch to watch the local fishermen sail their small Bangka boats out for the nightly catch. The string of a hundred lights fill the horizon as they cast their nets."
Activities at the resort include scuba diving, snorkeling, golf, horseback & ATV riding.
Links to the featured resort can be found by going to the Dumaguete Hotels/ Resorts page......or by going to www.dumaguetecity.net/Monarch_sands.

Enjoyed a get away weekend at Monarch Sands Resort. Great beach, friendly staff, fantastic food. Would reccomend a visit for those who are tired of the traffic, pollution and noise of Dunaguete.

We also found paradise as soon as we got to the gate; the bamboo and nipa décor made us feel as if we were in a Robinson Caruso movie. From the minute we arrived we felt pampered. The staff was helpful and so friendly and the service was impeccable. All of our meals were splendid and reasonably priced; so nice sitting out on the beach eating shrimp and sipping San Miguel! We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming, snorkelling, fishing (especially since the staff cooked up our catch!), as well as the pump-boat tour. The beach was clean with the nicest sand in Southern Negros Oriental. Walking the beach, barefoot at night, there were so many stars and the only sounds we heard were the waves lapping on the sand! The cottages, although basic, were large, well appointed with bamboo furniture, and comfortable with spectacular views of the Sulu Sea. The grounds were clean and covered with mature coconut trees and the monkeys really added to the Robinson Caruso atmosphere. All in all, it was a great vacation and romantic getaway at a very reasonable price.

Spent a weekend there recently and my wife, 6yr old son and myself had a great time. Comfortable accommodation, great food (you gotta try the Bananas Foster), great beach, friendly and helpful staff. What more can you ask for?
