It hasn't been quite a year since I started the website...that'll be in October, I think.I have to say though, that it's not coming along in quite the way I expected.My original idea was to highlight Dumaguete but I expected to get a bit of revenue from the ads. That hasn't happened.The affiliate ads are a bust, while the Google ads get a few hits but so far not enough to get a check.
I was planning on having quite a lot of Filipinas on the pen pals page.....drawing in more hits and potential ad clicks but that section is a great disappointment.
The biggest surprise comes from the Hotels and Resorts link. The plan had been to give the fellows who look at the pen pals an idea on where they might stay in the city.I never realized that this page would get the most views.It's good to know that the site is a good resource for people wanting to know more about the accommodations in the city but making money isn't a sin either.
Right now , I'm at a loss at what to do to improve the site.
